We are recruiting Behaviour Mentors for specialist schools in Islington who can support pupils with SEMH needs in a calm, consistent and relationship-led way.
These schools place a strong focus on emotional wellbeing, communication, and helping pupils rebuild trust with adults in education.
What the role involves:
Supporting pupils who may present with challenging behaviour
Acting as a key positive role model throughout the school day
Helping pupils reflect and regulate emotions
Working closely with pastoral and teaching teams
Supporting reintegration into lessons and routines
What we're looking for:
Experience working with young people (school, PRU, youth work, coaching etc.)
Strong communication and de-escalation skills
Patient, resilient and non-reactive approach
Ability to stay calm and consistent under pressure
Genuine interest in supporting vulnerable learners
