SEN Learning Support Assistant

Location: Chelmsford

Start Date: September 2026

Salary: £18,000 - £20,000 per annum

The school is looking to appoint a permanent SEN Learning Support Assistant from September 2026 on a part-time basis, working 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday during term time only. The successful SEN Learning Support Assistant will provide individual and small-group support for pupils with EHCPs, assist with tailored learning activities and work closely with teachers, the SENCO, therapists and parents to ensure pupils receive consistent and effective support.

The successful SEN Learning Support Assistant will have:

Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs
A strong understanding of inclusive education practices
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
The ability to support pupils' social, emotional and communication development
A proactive, resilient and adaptable approach
A commitment to ongoing professional development and learning
