Location: Northampton, Northamptonshire
Start Date: September 2026
Hours: 27.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (8:45am - 3:15pm)
Contract Type: Full-Time, Term Time Only (38 Weeks Per Year)
Salary: £24,796 - £25,185 FTE - Actual Salary £15,461.53 - £15,704.13

Tradewind Recruitment is working in partnership with a welcoming and nurturing Church school in Northampton that is seeking an enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team from September 2026.

The Role

As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will:

Support children within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) both in and outside the classroom

Work alongside the class teacher to deliver engaging and stimulating learning activities

Support children on a one-to-one basis and in small groups to help them achieve their full potential

Encourage the development of children's social, emotional, and communication skills

Help create a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment

Contribute to the wider life and ethos of the school community

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

Is enthusiastic, approachable, friendly, and positive in their contribution to the whole school community

Can work confidently, effectively, flexibly, and independently when required

Has previous experience supporting children of a relevant age, ideally within a school or educational setting

Has strong communication skills and enjoys working collaboratively as part of a supportive team

Demonstrates good literacy and numeracy skills

Can build positive working relationships with children, parents, and colleagues

Is committed to ongoing professional development

Shows initiative, creativity, and adaptability in different situations

Is passionate about safeguarding and promoting children's wellbeing

Is keen to support the values and ethos of a Church school
