Fire Alarm Engineer
Location: South Yorkshire
Salary: Up to £45,(Apply online only) Basic Salary
Door-to-Door Travel Paid
Call-Out Rota: 1 in 5 (£200 Standby Payment)
25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays (33 Days Total)
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Engineer to join a growing and reputable Fire & Security business operating throughout South Yorkshire and the surrounding regions.
This is a varied role covering service, maintenance, installation, commissioning, and fault finding on a range of commercial fire alarm systems. You'll be working with a portfolio of established clients across commercial, industrial, retail, education, and public sector environments.
Key Responsibilities
Service and maintain fire alarm systems.
Carry out fault finding, diagnostics, and remedial repairs.
Complete small works, upgrades, and installations.
Commission fire alarm systems to current industry standards.
Ensure compliance with BS 5839 and company procedures.
Produce service reports and certification documentation.
Participate in a 1-in-5 call-out rota.
Systems Experience
Experience with one or more of the following systems is highly desirable:
Gent
C-TEC
Advanced
Kentec
Other addressable and conventional fire alarm systems
Requirements
Proven experience as a Fire Alarm Engineer.
Strong servicing and fault-finding background.
Installation and commissioning experience.
Knowledge of BS 5839.
Full UK Driving Licence.
Excellent customer-facing and communication skills.
Package
