Teacher of Science & Maths (KS3/KS4) | Alternative Provision

Location: London (West/Central)

Contract: Full Time | Permanent

Are you a Science or Maths teacher who believes that education can transform lives?

We are recruiting on behalf of a highly respected specialist education provider within a nationally recognised multi-academy trust. This is a unique opportunity to join a values-driven alternative provision that supports young people who may have experienced barriers to learning, social and emotional challenges, disrupted education or exclusion from mainstream settings.

This role offers the opportunity to teach Science and Maths across Key Stages 3 and 4 while making a genuine impact on the lives of vulnerable young people.

The Role

You will deliver engaging and accessible Science and Maths lessons that inspire curiosity, build confidence and help students reconnect with learning.

Working within small class sizes and alongside a highly skilled multidisciplinary team, you will have the opportunity to focus on high-quality teaching, relationship building and personalised learning rather than managing large mainstream classes.

Responsibilities include:

• Teaching Science and Maths across KS3 and KS4.
• Planning and delivering engaging lessons tailored to individual learner needs.
• Supporting students with SEMH, behavioural and additional learning needs.
• Building positive relationships that encourage engagement and progress.
• Contributing to a culture of high expectations, inclusion and achievement.
• Working collaboratively with families, pastoral teams and external professionals.
• Supporting students to develop confidence, resilience and aspirations for the future.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for an outstanding practitioner who:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Has experience teaching Science and Maths at KS3/KS4.
• Can inspire and engage students who may have previously struggled in education.
• Demonstrates excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Has a nurturing, resilient and relationship-focused approach.
• Believes in inclusion and the potential of every young person.

Applications are welcomed from:

• Alternative Provision Teachers
• PRU Teachers
• SEMH Teachers
• Mainstream Secondary Teachers
• ECTs with strong behaviour management and resilience
• Teachers seeking a more rewarding and impactful role

Why Apply?

• Small class sizes and personalised teaching.
• Opportunity to transform outcomes for vulnerable young people.
• Join a nationally recognised education trust with a strong commitment to professional development.
• Collaborative and supportive leadership team.
• Excellent opportunities for career progression and leadership development.
• Be part of a school where relationships, well-being and student success are at the heart of everything.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a passionate Science and Maths teacher who wants to do more than simply teach a curriculum – it is an opportunity to change lives.
