Are you a resilient and positive Behaviour Mentor looking for a rewarding role supporting young people?
A supportive specialist school in Wokingham is seeking a committed Behaviour Mentor to join their team immediately. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about helping pupils overcome behavioural barriers and achieve success in education.
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will work with students who may experience SEMH needs, ADHD, ASD, trauma-related challenges, or difficulties managing behaviour in the classroom. Your role will focus on building positive relationships, promoting engagement, and helping pupils develop effective coping strategies.
Key responsibilities include:
Providing targeted support as a Behaviour Mentor on a 1:1 and small group basis
Supporting pupils with behaviour regulation and emotional wellbeing
Implementing behaviour support strategies and intervention plans
Encouraging positive engagement in learning and school activities
Acting as a positive role model for pupils across the school
Working closely with teachers, pastoral staff, and external professionalsThis Behaviour Mentor position is ideal for graduates considering careers in psychology, counselling, youth work, social work, or education. Previous experience working with children, young people, or vulnerable individuals would be beneficial.
