We are supporting a major global technology consultancy on a critical enterprise infrastructure programme and are seeking an experienced Red Hat SME to provide technical leadership across a complex Linux environment.

This role will suit a highly experienced Red Hat professional with strong infrastructure, automation, and platform management expertise, combined with the ability to lead technical teams and engage directly with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build and manage Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments (RHEL 8, 9 and 10)
• Lead and support a team of Red Hat Subject Matter Experts
• Design and manage Red Hat Satellite and Ansible Automation Platform solutions
• Support and optimise VMware-based infrastructure
• Produce technical documentation, reports and architectural design artefacts
• Ensure high availability and performance of business-critical systems
• Provide technical leadership and problem resolution within an ITIL/DevSecOps environment
• Work closely with customers and stakeholders to deliver infrastructure improvements and operational excellence

Essential Skills & Experience

• Active SC Clearance
• 10+ years' experience supporting enterprise IT infrastructure environments
• Strong expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 8/9/10)
• Proven experience with Red Hat Satellite
• Strong experience with Ansible Automation Platform
• VMware administration and support experience
• Experience leading small technical teams
• Strong understanding of networking concepts, protocols and infrastructure
• Experience producing and reviewing architectural design documentation
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience working within ITIL and/or DevSecOps environments

Desirable

• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise or government environments
• Knowledge of emerging infrastructure technologies and industry best practice
• Experience supporting highly available, Real Time operational systems
