Electrical Services Surveyor
Hertfordshire | £24.00 per Hour Umbrella
A Local Authority is seeking an experienced Electrical Services Surveyor to join their Property Services team on an interim basis.
This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in the management and delivery of electrical and building services across the Council's property portfolio, ensuring compliance, safety and value for money.
Key Responsibilities
Undertake electrical surveys, inspections and risk assessments across Council properties.
Manage the delivery of cyclical electrical testing programmes, including follow-on remedial works.
Oversee day-to-day repairs and maintenance of electrical and building services installations.
Manage contracts covering fire detection systems, door entry systems, lifts, CCTV and digital TV installations.
Plan, manage and maintain mechanical and electrical services across the Council's estate.
Supervise Building Services contractors and monitor performance.
Manage project costs and budgets, ensuring value for money and compliance with Council procedures.
Ensure works are delivered in accordance with relevant regulations, standards and health and safety requirements.
Requirements
Experience undertaking electrical surveys and risk assessments.
Knowledge and practical experience of working with JCT standard forms of contract.
Experience managing electrical maintenance and compliance programmes.
Strong contract management and budget control skills.
Full UK driving licence and access to business insurance
