KS1 Class Teacher (Maternity Cover)

We are seeking a KS1 Teacher to start working in a fantastic school in the St Albans area! This is a full time position working 5 days and week and to be successful for this role you must be a qualified teacher and have previous teaching experience ideally.

The curriculum in the school is well planned with a priority given to developing high standards of literacy and numeracy

The role is for a full time KS1 Teacher, Monday to Friday 8am - 16:30pm
You will be required to demonstrate good knowledge of the KS1 National Curriculum, previous experience of working in KS1 is desirable but not essential
To mark and assess pupils' work, and to record their development, progress and attainment, both at school and elsewhere, having regard to the requirements of the national curriculum
Maintain good order, discipline and respect for others among pupils; to promote understanding of the school's rules and values; to safeguard health and safety; and to develop relationships with and between pupils conducive to optimum learning
Plan and prepare lessons to engage the children with their learningRequirements:

You must have Qualified Teacher Status
Experience teaching in KS1 is desirable but not essential
Be an excellent communicator and have great behaviour management
Have a 'child workforce only' DBS on the Update Service or willing to obtain oneThe role:

You will have good knowledge In key stage 1 curriculum
Plan and deliver lessons effectively
You will mark and asses pupils' work, record their progress and accomplishments.
To be a role model to the pupils' and promote good discipline and respect for the class.
