Following continued growth, investment and the recent acquisition of additional manufacturing operations, they are looking to strengthen their Toolroom team with the appointment of a Toolmaker / Toolroom Engineer.

Job Description:
This Toolmaker / Toolroom Engineer position focuses primarily on the repair, refurbishment, modification and maintenance of injection mould tooling used within a busy automotive manufacturing environment.
Unlike many traditional Toolmaker positions, this role is heavily focused on keeping production-critical tooling operational and responding to breakdowns, repairs and engineering improvements.
Tooling sizes range from approximately 50kg through to 40-tonne mould tools, providing a genuinely varied workload.
Responsibilities include:
* Repairing and servicing injection mould tooling
* Diagnosing tooling faults and failures
* Modifying and improving existing tooling
* Manual milling and turning using Bridgeport and Colchester machines
* Bench fitting and assembly work
* Fabrication and repair activities where required
* Supporting production during breakdown situations
* Preventative maintenance of tooling assets
* Working safely with large tooling and overhead cranes
* Supporting continuous improvement projects
