About the Role
We are seeking a Mechanical Assembler to join our client's production team. This hands-on role involves assembling, testing, and inspecting mechanical and hydraulic equipment while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
* Assemble mechanical and hydraulic components from engineering drawings and work instructions.
* Build and test subassemblies and finished products.
* Manufacture and test hoses, pipework, and associated components.
* Carry out functional and pressure testing where required.
* Complete production and quality documentation accurately.
* Maintain a safe, clean, and organised workshop environment.
* Support production schedules and project deadlines.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
* Experience in mechanical assembly or a similar hands-on engineering role.
* Competent using hand and power tools.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
* Full UK license and own transport due to location of site
Desirable:
* Mechanical apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
* Automotive, plant, maintenance, or mechanical fitting background.
* Experience working with hydraulic systems.
Hours & Benefits
* 37-hour week with flexitime available.
