About the Role
Destination Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a range of supportive and inclusive primary school settings across East London. This full-time role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs and helping them access learning in a structured, nurturing, and inclusive environment. You will work closely with class teachers, SENCo’s, and wider support staff to provide tailored support that meets individual pupil needs.
The role may involve 1:1 or small group support, working with pupils who have ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs, or social, emotional, and mental health challenges. Schools across East London place a strong emphasis on inclusion, consistency, and collaborative working.
Key Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN.
Support the implementation of EHCPs and personalised learning plans.
Assist pupils with communication, emotional regulation, and social development.
Promote positive behaviour and inclusion within the classroom.
Adapt learning resources to meet individual needs.
Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff, and external professionals.The Ideal Candidate

A calm, patient, and empathetic approach.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
