Site Mechanical Manager (Industrial Engineering Services)

Salary - upto £60,000

A well-established engineering services organisation with a long-standing presence in the industry is seeking a Site Mechanical Manager to support both office-based operations and on-site activities.

This role involves overseeing a small team of engineers working across multiple client locations, carrying out maintenance and repair work on a wide range of industrial equipment, including motors, pump systems, and other mechanical assets.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage a team of field-based engineers
Visit client sites to assess technical requirements and diagnose issues
Prepare cost estimates and quotations for proposed work
Maintain regular communication with clients regarding project progress
Support recruitment and onboarding of new team members
Oversee staff development, including performance reviews and training plansRequirements:

Strong understanding of industrial mechanical systems, including pumps and motors
Electrical knowledge or background preferred
Previous experience in a similar leadership or supervisory role
Proven ability to manage and motivate a technical team
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
Competence with standard IT tools (e.g., office software)
Good working knowledge of health and safety regulations and safe systems of workCore Skills:

Experience working across multiple sites/environments
Strong leadership and decision-making ability
Effective problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Solid technical engineering knowledge
Ability to communicate clearly with both clients and internal teams
Capable of managing a varied and demanding workloadDesirable Attributes:
