About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced ServiceNow ITSM Developer to take ownership of a critical enterprise platform. You'll be responsible for ensuring the stability, scalability, and ongoing optimisation of ServiceNow, with a strong focus on out-of-the-box (OOTB) configuration over customisation.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining technical delivery, governance, and stakeholder collaboration while driving best practice across the platform.

Maintain the health, performance, and scalability of the ServiceNow platform
Manage upgrades, testing cycles, and remediation of issues
Oversee integrations, MID servers, and platform lifecycle activities

Deliver solutions using a configuration-first approach (UI Policies, Business Rules, Flow Designer, etc.)
Develop custom solutions only where justified by clear business need
Build and maintain integrations (REST, SOAP, webhooks, identity platforms, etc.)

Governance & Best Practice

Enforce platform standards including naming conventions, update set management, and security controls
Support data model integrity and alignment with best practice frameworks (e.g., ITIL, CSDM)
Contribute to architectural decisions and platform direction

Quality & Operations

Own CI/CD pipelines, automated testing (ATF), and deployment controls
Ensure regression testing and platform reliability
Monitor performance, manage technical debt, and maintain operational excellence

Collaboration

Work closely with Product Owners and stakeholders to shape backlog and requirements
Provide technical guidance, peer reviews, and knowledge sharing across the team

About You

Proven experience in ServiceNow development and/or administration (approx. 2-4 years)
Strong knowledge of ITSM processes (Incident, Change, Problem, Request, etc.)
Hands-on experience with configuration-first development approaches
Exposure to integrations, testing frameworks, and CI/CD practices
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Desirable:

ITIL v4 Foundation
ServiceNow certifications (CSA, CAD, or specialist certifications)

What You'll Get

Competitive salary and discretionary bonus
Hybrid working model
Generous pension and benefits package
Private medical insurance
Learning and certification support
Flexible holiday options
A collaborative, forward-thinking environment with a strong focus on continuous improvement

Why Apply?

This is a great opportunity to take a lead role in shaping and governing a modern ServiceNow platform, working in a business that values long-term thinking, continuous improvement, and high-quality delivery.
