Good Afternoon,
I am currently representing Enfield Council, who are offering an initial temporary contract for a period of 3-6 months with a view to be extended or offered a permanent position for the right candidate at a rate which is negotiable dependent upon experience
We are looking for a Family Help Practitioner this role will be: Hybrid EN1 3ES
The right candidate will:
The Family Help Practitioner will provide a holistic assessment of families and offer single or multi-agency coordinated packages of support to those children and families that do not meet the threshold for statutory child protection support.
* Working in partnership with families offering listening, advice and guidance and support to help children thrive, enhancing parenting skills wherever possible.
* Complete family assessments, using the strength-based approach and coordinate the family plan to help empower change within the family.
* Apply family networking techniques or refer to the Family Decision Making Service to help families and their extended network to coordinate a sustainable plan of help and support.
* Engaging directly with children using established tools and approaches to support them in confidently articulating their feelings and wishes, ensuring their voice informs and shapes the family plan.
* Taking on the role of the Family Help Practitioner, co-ordinating services in the Team Around the Family (TAF) or children in need meetings.
We require the following:
* Demonstrable experience of direct work with children, young people and their families in the family home or in the community, applying evidence-based frameworks and tools to effectively improve outcomes.
* Knowledge and ability to utilise recognised approaches and techniques when working with families, including motivational interviewing, trauma-informed practice, and relationship-based techniques.
