Social Worker – Adults

I am currently representing Enfield Council, who are offering an initial temporary contract for a period of 3-6 months with a view to be extended or offered a permanent position for the right candidate at a rate which is negotiable dependent upon experience

We are looking for a Social Worker – Adults this role will be: Hybrid EN1 3ES

The right candidate will:

Enfield Council is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Judicial Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) Social Worker to join our Community Integrated Learning Disability Service (ILDS).

* Undertake Mental Capacity and Best Interests Assessments in accordance with the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and DoLS framework.

* Identify cases requiring progression to Judicial DoLS and prepare applications to the Court of Protection.

* Draft high-quality court statements, reports and supporting documentation for judicial scrutiny.

* Analyse complex evidence and make defensible, legally robust recommendations.

* Work collaboratively with ILDS colleagues, health professionals, care providers, legal services, advocates and families.

* Monitor existing DoLS authorisations, ensuring compliance and timely review.

We require the following:

* Is registered with Social Work England.

* Has strong working knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act 2005, DoLS, and Court of Protection processes.

* Has experience preparing court documentation and managing complex capacity cases.
