Location: PR9 Area, Southport
Position Type: Full-Time, 5 Days per Week (Monday to Friday), 8:30 am - 3:30 pm

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced 1-1 Teaching Assistant to join our team at a mainstream primary school located in the PR9 area of Southport. This full-time position, scheduled for Monday to Friday, involves providing essential support to a pupil with behavioural issues, ensuring their successful integration into all aspects of school life.
Responsibilities:
Behavioural Support: Work closely with the student to provide targeted support for managing behaviour within the school setting.
* Academic Assistance: Collaborate with the classroom teacher to facilitate the student's engagement in academic activities, adapting strategies to address behavioural challenges.
* Behaviour Management: Implement effective behaviour management strategies in accordance with the school's policies, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment.
* Inclusive Learning: Promote the inclusion of the student in various school activities, fostering a positive and supportive atmosphere.
* Communication: Maintain open and transparent communication with the student, school staff, and parents to address behavioural progress and concerns.
Requirements:
Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, particularly with students exhibiting behavioural challenges.
Knowledge and understanding of effective behaviour management strategies.
Team Teach or Positive Handling training would be advantageous.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
A proactive and positive attitude towards supporting students with diverse needs.
Working Hours:
Full-time, 5 days per week (Monday to Friday)
8:30 am to 3:30 pm
