Maintenance Engineer
Location: Nottingham/Sheffield – S80 Salary: £63,000 per year + OT + Enhanced holiday entitlement
Job type: Permanent, Full-time Shift: Rotating – 12-hour shifts (days & nights)
About the role
Our client are a true modern day British success story being initially founded by two friends only 10 years ago and growing into a £multi-million company within that time. From their manufacturing site based between Nottingham and Sheffield, they now employ over 600 people in a brand new fully automated site with R&D, manufacturing and distribution happening from the same site
Having gone from strength to strength, they’re looking to strengthen their Maintenance team by adding more Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineers to the team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly automated site with significant investment across engineering, continuous improvement and automation projects.
What you'll be doing
Working in teams of four, the successful Maintenance Engineers will be responsible for both reactive and planned maintenance across a large, automated plant.
Day to day responsibilities will include;
Fault finding and repairs on automated production machinery including PLC-controlled systems
Planned and reactive electrical and mechanical maintenance across the site
Working with conveyor systems, ovens, packaging machinery, robotic palletisers
Supporting continuous improvement and efficiency projects
What we're looking for
The successful Maintenance Engineers will need to have;
NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
Strong fault-finding skills on automated machinery
Experience within a manufacturing
Multi-skilled engineers encouraged to apply
