Are you an experienced Diagnostic Vehicle Technician seeking a rewarding opportunity within a reputable workshop in Poole, Dorset?
Our client, a well-established service centre, is looking to recruit a skilled Diagnostic Vehicle Technician to join their professional team. This role offers competitive pay, ongoing training, and the chance to develop your expertise within a supportive working environment.
Benefits:
Competitive salary of up to £45,000 per annum depending on experience
Monday to Friday working week, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, with weekends off
22 days holiday plus bank holidays
Company pension scheme
Ongoing training and development through a recognised provider, including EV and MOT testing courses
Modern workshop with ample bays and ramps for hands-on mechanics
Opportunity to specialise further in heavy mechanics and diagnostics
Supportive team environment in a well-equipped facilityDuties:
Conduct diagnostics and repairs across a wide range of vehicle makes and models
Perform engine work, clutch replacements, cambelt changes, and complex mechanical tasks
Diagnose electrical and electronic faults using advanced diagnostic equipment
Ensure all work is completed to a high standard within specified service times
Maintain accurate records of repairs and diagnostics
Work efficiently within a professional team to meet workshop targetsRequirements:
Proven experience as a Diagnostic Vehicle Technician or in a similar role within the motor trade
Strong diagnostic skills and a comprehensive understanding of vehicle electronics and engine systems
Ability to perform timing belt and cambelt changes with minimal supervision
MOT Tester certification is advantageous
Master Technician or Diagnostic Vehicle Technician level experience preferred
Attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills
