The Role
My client is seeking an Assembly Technician to join their growing manufacturing team.

This is a hands-on position working within a production environment, assembling a range of specialist products to quality standards and production schedules. The successful candidate will become part of a small, supportive team and will have the opportunity to develop their skills within a stable and expanding business.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble products and sub-assemblies in line with production requirements and work instructions

• Work from engineering drawings, diagrams, and technical documentation

• Ensure products are manufactured to the required quality standards and timescales

• Identify and report any issues with materials, components, or production processes

• Carry out basic wiring, mechanical assembly, and fitting activities

• Use a variety of hand tools and workshop equipment safely and effectively

• Complete production records and documentation accurately

• Support continuous improvement activities and maintain a clean, organised work area

• Follow company procedures relating to quality, safety, and production

The Candidate
Practical assembly or manufacturing experience

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings or technical documentation

Experience using hand tools and workshop equipment

Good mechanical aptitude and attention to detail

Comfortable working to quality standards and production targets

Basic electrical or wiring experience would be beneficial

Good organisational and communication skills

Able to work independently and as part of a team

Competent IT skills

Willingness to learn new skills and undertake training when required

Salary
£25,000- £30,000 depending on skills and experience
