Role Overview
We are seeking a process-driven Senior Detailing Specialist to produce accurate, compliant, and commercially aligned door, frame, and hardware schedules for specialist secure environments.
This is a technical, delivery-focused role that plays a key part in ensuring projects are delivered accurately, efficiently, and in line with customer, regulatory, and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Produce accurate and fully coordinated door, frame, ironmongery, and hardware schedules in line with project specifications, drawings, and client requirements.
Interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and technical information to develop practical, compliant, and buildable solutions.
Liaise with estimating, sales, project management, production, operations, and quality teams to ensure projects are coordinated effectively.
Support the preparation of project take-offs, quotations, and technical documentation where required.
Review project information and proactively identify discrepancies, missing information, technical queries, and design conflicts.
Provide technical support and guidance to customers, architects, contractors, and internal stakeholders regarding product specifications and project requirements.
Ensure detailing and scheduling outputs comply with relevant regulations, standards, healthcare requirements, and ligature-resistant design principles.
Coordinate with production and operational teams to support efficient fabrication, manufacturing, and delivery planning.
Work closely with quality and compliance teams to maintain product and project standards.
Contributes to the ongoing development of detailing standards, templates, systems, and processes to improve consistency and efficiency.
Skills & Experience
Essential
Proven experience detailing doors, frames, ironmongery, or architectural hardware.
Strong understanding of technical coordination, scheduling, and detailing principles.
Ability to interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and technical documentation independently.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Working knowledge of relevant UK regulations, standards, and compliance requirements.
Experience within healthcare, construction products, specialist manufacturing, doorsets, architectural ironmongery, or a related sector.
Desirable
Experience working on behavioral health, mental health, or healthcare projects.
Knowledge of ligature-resistant products and solutions.
Experience using at least one industry-standard detailing, scheduling, or design platform.
Familiarity with NBS Chorus / NBS Create
Knowledge of Healthcare standards, including HTM and HBN guidance
