Supply Desk is partnering with a friendly and inclusive primary school in Stoke Poges to recruit a committed and motivated Learning Support Assistant (LSA). This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a close-knit school community that prioritises pupil wellbeing, academic progress, and a supportive team culture.

This position is ideal for someone who is compassionate, adaptable, and eager to play a hands-on role in helping children succeed both academically and personally.

The Role

In this role, you will work alongside classroom teachers to provide tailored support to pupils, helping them engage with learning and build confidence. You’ll contribute to maintaining a calm, structured, and encouraging classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver classroom support on a 1:1 basis and in small group settings
Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom activities
Provide focused support for children with additional learning needs (SEN)
Promote positive behaviour, independence, and engagement
Support pupils’ emotional wellbeing and social development
Help ensure a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
Observe pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
Work collaboratively with school staff and external support services where required

About You

Experience working with children (in schools or similar settings preferred)
A calm, empathetic, and proactive approach
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to build rapport quickly with pupils and staff
Genuine enthusiasm for supporting children’s learning and development
Available to work full-time in Stoke Poges

Desirable (Not Essential)

Experience supporting children with SEN
Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, Teaching Assistant training)
Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection practices
