Residential Support Worker / Senior Support Worker – Children’s Residential Care (Corwen, Denbighshire)

Are you an experienced support worker or residential team leader looking to make a positive impact in children’s residential care? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a reputable provider in Corwen, Denbighshire, dedicated to supporting children and young people with emotional, behavioural, and complex needs. The role offers a chance to lead, motivate, and support a team while delivering exceptional care in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

Support young people in developing positive relationships and reaching their full potential
Lead shifts and serve as a positive role model within the home
Promote a person-centred, therapeutic approach to care
Work collaboratively with education, therapy, and management teams
Participate in the management on-call rota

Requirements

Minimum 12 months’ experience in a children’s residential care setting
QCF Level 3 Diploma in Children & Young People or equivalent
Experience in leading or supporting a staff team
Full UK manual driving licence (company car provided during work hours)
Flexibility to work evenings, nights, and weekends
Willingness to join the management on-call system
Proficiency in using electronic care recording systems; experience with systems such as Clearcare is advantageous, but full training will be provided

Additional Information
This residential support worker role in Corwen, Denbighshire offers a competitive salary of £38,753, inclusive of sleep-ins, with enhanced rates for qualified staff. Benefits include a £500 welcome bonus, a 4-week fully paid induction, leadership and management training, and access to online learning courses.
