Description

To provide effective local stores and logistics support to operational teams, ensuring materials, components, and equipment are received, stored, issued, and controlled efficiently in support of nationally significant infrastructure projects contributing to the UK's net zero ambitions.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities

* Coordinate and control all goods‑in and goods‑out activity specific to operational and project deliveries.

* Conduct material receipt, inspection, and quality checks in line with project and logistics requirements.

* Manage physical stock control of project components, consumables, and spare parts.

* Prepare, kit, and issue materials in line with Bills of Materials (BOMs) and project schedules.

* Maintain accurate inventory and delivery records, including despatch notes and proof of delivery.

* Monitor stock levels and proactively trigger re‑stocking actions to prevent shortages.

* Liaise directly with assembly, service, and project delivery teams to align material availability with build and deployment plans.

* Coordinate the availability and movement of project equipment between locations as required.

* Participate in regular training/ learning activities to maintain and develop skills and knowledge.

* Ensure the health and safety of yourself and others who may be affected by what you do; use work equipment provided safely and co-operate with managers to provide safe systems of work.

* Any other reasonable duties as required.

Technical Skills & Knowledge

* Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g. SAP or equivalent) for stock and logistics management

* Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities

* Keep up to date with advances in business area, new methods and ways of working.

* Strong administrative and organisational skills.

* Intermediate knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook

* Confident and accurate use of departmental computer systems/databases.

In return our client will offer:

£29,000 - £30,000 Per annum
Great work hours:
Monday - Thursday 07:30/8am - 16:30 latest
Friday 07:30 - 13:30
