Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship | Lytham (FY8) | September 2026 Start

Kickstart your career in education with a direct school contract, a nationally recognised qualification, and a unique role supporting children through a vital stage of their learning journey.

Are you looking for a rewarding career where you can make a real difference? We are partnering with a charming, one-form entry primary school in Lytham to recruit an aspiring educator. This isn't just a job; it's an 18-month journey to becoming a fully qualified Teaching Assistant within a nurturing, values-driven "school family."

The Apprenticeship Highlights:

Earn While You Learn: Receive a steady wage while studying for your Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification.
Direct Employment: Your contract is held directly with the school, ensuring you are a fully integrated member of the staff team.
Dedicated Study Time: Your timetable includes two afternoons per week specifically for college coursework and training.
Unique Transition Specialism: While this qualification covers the full primary age range (4-11 years), you will play a crucial role in supporting pupils bridging the gap between EYFS and Year 1.

Our Ethos: Nurture, Flourish, and Serve

At the heart of our Lytham school is a commitment to ensuring every child feels valued. Rooted in Christian values, we provide a broad and inspiring curriculum. We believe children thrive when families and staff work together as partners. As an apprentice, you will be welcomed into a close-knit community where open communication, collaboration, and trust are our top priorities.

Your Journey & Responsibilities

You will be mentored by experienced teachers, gaining hands-on experience across a unique crossover role between the Early Years (EYFS) and Year 1 classrooms:

Curriculum Transition Support: Assist Year 1 pupils who are still working within the EYFS curriculum, ensuring they feel confident, supported, and never left behind as they move up.
Classroom Support: Help deliver engaging, play-based and structured lessons tailored to early childhood development.
Pupil Development: Lead small group activities to target learning gaps and boost children's confidence.
Creative Resource Management: Help design vibrant classroom displays and active learning materials that bridge the transition between key stages.
Holistic Well-being: Support the social, emotional, and spiritual growth of our pupils.

What We Are Looking For

We are seeking a motivated, adaptable individual who radiates positivity and has a genuine heart for working with young children during crucial stages of growth.

Academic Foundation: Grade C/4 or above in GCSE Maths and English (Essential).
Personal Attributes: High energy, empathy, patience, and a "can-do" attitude.
Communication: Ability to build rapport with young children, staff, and parents.
Commitment: Readiness to dedicate 18 months to your professional development starting September 2026.

The Interview Process (June / July 2026)

To find the perfect fit for our supportive community, we are holding a two-part interview stage throughout June and July. This allows you to:

Experience the environment: See the school in action, experience the classrooms, and meet the team.
Showcase your passion: Demonstrate your potential in a supportive, practical setting
