CCS are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming Alternative Provision setting in Manchester that supports a small cohort of approximately 15 students aged 11–16.

This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about making a difference and helping young people achieve their potential in a supportive, nurturing environment.

The students have a range of individual learning needs and require a teacher who can build positive relationships, adapt their teaching approach, and create an engaging learning environment where students feel supported and motivated to succeed.

The school is ideally looking for a teacher who is comfortable delivering a variety of subjects across GCSE and Functional Skills pathways. However, teachers from mainstream secondary school backgrounds are encouraged to apply, as the school is open to considering candidates with transferable skills and a strong commitment to supporting young people.

The Role

* Deliver engaging lessons across a range of subjects at GCSE and Functional Skills level

* Adapt teaching to meet the individual needs of learners

* Support students' academic progress, confidence, and personal development

* Build positive and professional relationships with students, colleagues, and families

* Contribute to a supportive and inclusive learning environment

* Monitor progress and provide appropriate feedback and support

The Ideal Candidate

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

* Experience teaching in a secondary school setting

* Ability to teach more than one subject area would be advantageous

* Strong classroom and behaviour management skills

* Flexible, resilient, and able to adapt teaching to individual learner needs

* Passionate about supporting young people to achieve positive outcomes

What the School Offers

* Small class sizes and a low student-to-staff ratio

* Supportive leadership team

* Opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' lives

* Collaborative and inclusive working environment

* Shorter teaching day (9:30am – 2:00pm)

If you are looking for an opportunity where you can build strong relationships with students and make a genuine difference every day, we would love to hear from you
