We are seeking a skilled HGV Auto Electrician / PSV Auto Electrician to join a busy workshop team responsible for maintaining, diagnosing and repairing electrical systems across a fleet of passenger service vehicles. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in commercial vehicles, buses, coaches or heavy plant who enjoys fault finding and electrical diagnostics.

The Role of the HGV Auto Electrician / PSV Auto Electrician

Diagnosing and repairing electrical and electronic faults on buses and coaches.
Carrying out fault finding using diagnostic equipment and manufacturer systems.
Repairing and replacing wiring looms, sensors, relays, switches and control units.
Diagnosing CAN Bus and multiplex electrical systems.
Maintaining vehicle lighting, CCTV, destination equipment and ancillary systems.
Carrying out electrical inspections and preventative maintenance.
Supporting mechanical technicians with complex electrical faults.
Ensuring all work is completed to company and DVSA standards.
What We're Looking for from the HGV Auto Electrician / PSV Auto Electrician

NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in Vehicle Maintenance, Auto Electrical or Engineering.
Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic experience.
Experience working on commercial vehicles, buses, coaches or heavy equipment.
Knowledge of CAN Bus systems and vehicle electronics.
Ability to interpret wiring diagrams and technical schematics.
