Learner Liaison Officer
We are looking for a compassionate and motivated Learner Liaison Officer to join our team supporting young people and adults with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
This rewarding role involves working closely with learners on a 1:1 or small-group basis to help them overcome barriers, build confidence, develop life and work skills, and progress towards greater independence and sustainable employment.
Key Responsibilities
Build positive and supportive relationships with learners, parents/carers, support providers, and internal teams
Support learners in developing practical work and life skills
Assess learner strengths and identify areas for development
Assist with travel training and independence-building activities where required
Monitor learner progress and provide weekly feedback and reports
Prepare and maintain accurate paperwork and documentation
Liaise with specialist providers and support workers to ensure effective learner support
Follow company policies relating to safeguarding, equality, health & safety, and quality standards
Report any learner concerns or programme issues promptly and professionally
Support the ongoing development and success of programme participants
Requirements
Essential
Driving License and access to your own vehicle
Experience supporting young people or individuals with SEND
Minimum 3 years’ industry or workplace experience
Strong communication and organisational skills
Ability to build trust and encourage learner confidence and independence
Enhanced DBS check (to be completed as part of the recruitment process)
Desirable
Level 3 First Aid at Work
Health & Safety qualification
Teaching, Assessing, or Verifying qualifications
Information, Advice & Guidance qualification
Training in Systematic Instruction
