We are looking for a talented and experience Design Manager to join our team in Guildford and to make a positive impact within our growing business. Managing the design process from Pre-Construction through to and including the construction phase for projects up to £25m.
You'll be responsible for:
Looking ahead and planning all aspects of the project, identifying challenges and bringing imaginative and cost-effective solutions to the table
Working within current legislation, standards and codes of practice where needed
Looking to eliminate health and safety and financial risk during construction
Keeping a good flow of quality information to ensure pace with the project timescale
Having the ability to build good solid relationships with all stakeholders
Ability to work equally well as part of a team or on your own
Ability to communicate at all levels and be understood
Commercial awareness
A broad understanding of alternative forms of procurement, to include frameworks, negotiated and 2 stage tendersExperience:
Previous experience covering similar roles
Understanding of traditional construction and D&B
Thorough understanding of CDM regulations
Knowledge of software - for example BIM and 4Projects
Design qualification considered
You'll be responsible for:
