Procurement Officer
Barrow-in-Furness (Hybrid – 1–2 days onsite)
£23 per hour PAYE plus holiday accrual
6-month contract – BAE Systems
We’re recruiting for a Procurement / Supply Chain Officer to support key delivery programmes at BAE Systems in Barrow. This is a great opportunity to work in a regulated, project-driven environment with a leading defence organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
Support end-to-end procurement activities across major programmes
Develop and manage procurement plans
Assist with tendering, supplier selection, and contract award
Support supplier negotiations and performance management
Ensure compliance with internal processes and industry regulations
Identify and manage procurement risks and issues
Requirements:
Experience in procurement or supply chain within construction, infrastructure, or similar sectors
Understanding of contract management and supplier performance
Familiarity with procurement processes and governance
Knowledge of NEC/JCT contracts (desirable)
Experience in regulated or public sector environments (beneficial)
⚠️ Please note: Role subject to security clearance requirements (BPSS + SC)
