Client Snapshot:

An excellent opportunity has become available with an established national housing provider that delivers supported housing and independent living services across the UK. The organisation supports individuals to develop life skills, maintain tenancies and achieve positive outcomes through high-quality person-centred support.

Vacancy Brief:

* The role is that of Project Worker / Support Worker.

* This is a part-time temporary contract until the end of July 2026 initially.

* Working hours are Monday to Friday, 10:00am – 3:00pm.

* The position is based in Barrow-in-Furness (LA14)

* Pay rate is £13.87 per hour PAYE.

* A current Enhanced DBS covering the Adult Workforce will be required.

* The role involves supporting vulnerable adults within a supported living environment.

Mandatory Compliance Requirements:

1. Emergency First Aid at Work (including CPR) – valid within 3 years.

2. Health and Safety Training.

3. Infection Control Training.

4. Medication Administration Training – valid within 3 years.

5. Safeguarding Training – valid within 2 years.

6. Whistleblowing Training.

7. Manual Handling Practical Training – valid within 1 year.

8. Food Hygiene Training.

The Responsibilities:

* Deliver high-quality person-centred support to enable clients to develop the skills required for independent living.

* Assist clients to maintain their tenancy, understand their rights and responsibilities, and sustain accommodation successfully.

* Complete support plans, risk assessments and associated records in line with organisational procedures.

* Promote safeguarding principles and ensure the wellbeing and safety of vulnerable adults at all times.

* Support clients with daily living skills, social inclusion and community engagement activities.

* Liaise with external agencies and professionals to ensure clients receive appropriate support and access to services.

* Promote choice, independence, dignity and empowerment through a strengths-based approach.

* Maintain accurate records and contribute to achieving positive outcomes for service users.
