Payroll and Finance Officer

Full-Time

Salary: Dependent on Experience

I am working with a successful and growing Primary School Trust in North London that is looking to appoint an experienced Payroll and Finance Officer to join its central finance team.

In this role, I am seeking a candidate who can confidently manage payroll and pension administration across our schools while supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the Trust.

Key Responsibilities:

Processing monthly payroll and pension submissions accurately and on time.
Working closely with HR teams to maintain accurate employee and contractual records.
Ensuring statutory payroll deductions are correctly applied and compliant with legislation.
Administering pension enrolment, contributions, and returns.
Responding to payroll and pension queries from staff in a professional and timely manner.
Reconciling payroll data and producing reports as required.
Supporting finance operations, including purchase ledger, sales ledger, and payment systems.
What I Am Looking For:

Previous payroll experience is essential, ideally within an education setting.
Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A proactive and positive approach to work.
