Hourly Paid Part Time Lecturer in English
Salary Band B £23.26 per hour (+ £5.54 per hour holiday pay)
The Role
As a Part Time Hourly Paid Lecturer in English, you will be part of a supportive curriculum team delivering English GCSE and Functional Skills to learners aged 16–19 on study programmes. You will assist in fostering a rich learning environment by teaching clearly structured lessons or sequences of work via courses delivered on a range of days and at different venues throughout the year. You will be committed to excellence, offering the very highest standards in teaching. You will also be expected to be contribute towards course marketing.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for a suitably qualified and enthusiastic teacher with experience of working in a further education environment and supporting learners aged 14–19. You will have strong, up-to-date subject knowledge and a commitment to inclusive, high-quality teaching. Organised and proactive, you will manage administrative responsibilities effectively and communicate confidently with learners, colleagues and other stakeholders, supporting the personal and professional development of young people.
All hourly paid part time staff receive pay the month following the month in which hours are worked, e.g. hours worked in November are paid at the end of December. Holiday pay is accrued and paid three times per annum, March, August and December
