Smart Education is recruiting a Maths Teacher to join a secondary SEMH school in Bilston on a temp-to-perm basis.

This is a rewarding opportunity for a Maths Teacher who is passionate about supporting young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and helping them succeed both academically and personally.

About the Role

As a Maths Teacher, you will deliver engaging and differentiated lessons to secondary-aged pupils with SEMH needs, helping to build confidence, resilience, and a positive attitude towards learning. The successful Teacher will work closely with support staff and pastoral teams to create a structured and nurturing classroom environment where students feel supported and motivated to succeed.

Job Responsibilities of a Maths Teacher

Plan and deliver engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4
Support pupils with SEMH needs and challenging behaviour
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and pastoral staff
Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing

Requirements for a Maths Teacher

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Experience teaching Maths at secondary level
Experience supporting pupils with SEMH needs or challenging behaviour desirable
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
Passion for supporting young people to achieve their potential
