Warehouse Improvement Manager | 3 Months Fixed Term Contract

With a focus on operational excellence and continuous improvement, they are now looking to strengthen their warehouse performance and processes during a key period of development.

The Role

We are looking for a hands-on and driven Warehouse Improvement Manager to join the business on a 3-month fixed-term contract. Working closely with the Operations Manager, this role will focus on enhancing warehouse efficiency by embedding processes, driving consistency, and supporting teams to meet operational KPIs.

This is a highly visible, shop-floor-based role requiring someone who can lead from the front, engage teams, and deliver practical improvements in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

* Work alongside the Operations Manager to improve day-to-day warehouse performance

* Embed and standardise processes and operational procedures

* Support teams in achieving KPIs, productivity, and service targets

* Maintain a strong presence on the shop floor, driving engagement and accountability

* Manage and support team performance through coaching and leadership

* Identify inefficiencies and implement practical process improvements

* Support operational change initiatives and wider continuous improvement projects

* Monitor performance and implement corrective actions where required

* Promote a safety-first culture across the site

* Collaborate with internal functions including Customer Service, Purchasing, and Sales

Skills & Experience

* Proven leadership experience within warehouse, logistics, or distribution environments

* Hands-on management style with strong shop-floor engagement

* Experience driving process improvements and operational change

* Strong people management and performance accountability

* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

* Experience supporting change projects or system/process implementations

* Practical problem-solver with a proactive approach

* Able to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment

* Passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence
