Fire Door Inspector & Maintenance Engineer

Location: UK‑wide (Company van & tools provided)

Salary: £38,000, rising to £40,000 after 6 months based on performance

Qualification: FDIS desirable

What You’ll Do

• Carry out fire door inspections across commercial, residential, and public‑sector sites

• Complete maintenance, repairs, adjustments, and replacements to ensure full compliance

• Produce clear, accurate inspection reports using digital tools

• Advise clients on compliance, remedial actions, and best‑practice solutions

• Represent Fire Door Specialists Ltd with professionalism, confidence, and technical authority

• Work independently across the UK with full support from our expert team

What You Bring

• Experience in fire door inspection, carpentry, joinery, or passive fire protection

• Strong understanding of BS 8214, BM TRADA, and fire door compliance standards – training can be provided

• Ability to diagnose issues, carry out repairs, and deliver high‑quality workmanship

• Excellent communication and customer‑facing skills

• A proactive, problem‑solving mindset

• FDIS qualification is highly desirable (but not essential for the right candidate)

• Full UK driving licence
