Business Development Executive

About the Organisation

A well‑established organisation in Bristol and the surrounding areas is expanding its sales team. The company delivers a range of essential services to businesses and is focused on growth, customer value, and high‑quality service delivery. As part of its continued expansion, the organisation is seeking a driven Business Development Executive to support its commercial ambitions.

The Role

This is a proactive, field‑based sales role focused on securing new commercial contracts. You will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and converting prospective customers through targeted local activity. The role suits someone who thrives on autonomy, enjoys face‑to‑face engagement, and is motivated by achieving and exceeding sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

New business generation through proactive field prospecting and local engagement.

Achieving sales targets and contributing to commercial revenue growth.

Managing a strong sales pipeline with accurate forecasting and CRM discipline.

Delivering persuasive proposals that clearly communicate value.

Identifying new opportunities using market insight and supporting smooth onboarding.

What We’re Looking For

Proactive prospecting ability with confidence in face‑to‑face engagement and cold outreach.

Strong communication and negotiation skills with a proven ability to close deals.

Effective territory and time management supported by CRM use.

Solid B2B sales understanding including pricing, commercial terms, and competitive positioning.

Proven success in field‑based sales through self‑generated leads.

Experience selling service‑led or contract‑based solutions in high‑interaction environments.

Location: Avonmouth, Bristol

Salary: £41,257 per annum + up to 20% performance bonus + £6,000 car allowance. Please note that you will need to have a full, clean, driving licence for the role.

Hours: 37.5 per week, Monday–Friday. Onsite based role.
