You will play a key role in ensuring pupils are safe, comfortable and supported throughout the school day. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team alongside teachers, therapists and healthcare professionals to support pupils' wellbeing and development.

This role requires patience, empathy and consistency, with a strong focus on dignity and individualised care.

Key Responsibilities

- Safely use specialist equipment and resources
- Support sensory and therapeutic activities
- Monitor pupils' health and wellbeing and report concerns appropriately
- Maintain high standards of safeguarding, hygiene and care

This role is ideal for candidates with experience from care or healthcare environments, including:

- Care Assistants or Support Workers
- Nursing or Healthcare Assistants
- Residential or specialist care settings
- Individuals with experience supporting pupils or adults with PMLD

Training in areas such as Moving and Handling, PEG feeding, tracheostomy care, epilepsy management, suctioning or other clinical procedures is highly beneficial. Candidates without this training but with relevant care experience are also encouraged to apply, as further training can be provided.

The Ideal Candidate Will Be

- Compassionate, patient and respectful
- Confident supporting pupils with complex physical and medical needs
- Comfortable delivering personal care as part of a daily routine
- Reliable and able to follow care plans accurately
- A strong team player with clear communication skills

What's on Offer

- Supportive SEN school settings across Bury
- Consistent full‑time, term‑time hours
- Ongoing training and professional development
- A meaningful role supporting pupils with the highest levels of need

If you have a caring or healthcare background and are looking to make a genuine difference within an SEN school setting, apply today. A member of our team will contact you to discuss suitable opportunities in Bury.
