SEN Teaching Assistant - Barking & Dagenham - September Start - Full Time - £100-£117 per day
We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school based in Barking & Dagenham for a September start.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs, helping them access learning, build confidence, and make progress within a structured school environment.
The school is looking for a caring, reliable, and resilient candidate who can support pupils with a range of needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language difficulties, and learning difficulties.
The Role:
Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis
Assisting students with SEN across classroom activities
Supporting behaviour management and emotional regulation
Helping pupils stay engaged and focused during lessons
Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff
Supporting pupils during transitions, break times, and school routines
Helping to create a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environmentThe Ideal Candidate Will:
Have previous SEN, school, care, youth work, or childcare experience
Be patient, calm, and resilient
Have strong communication and teamwork skills
Be confident supporting behaviour and additional needs
Be reliable, proactive, and able to use their own initiative
Be passionate about helping vulnerable pupils succeedThe Role Offers:
£100-£117 per day
