An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Town Planner to join a highly respected independent planning consultancy with a strong reputation across the UK property sector. Based in Leeds, the successful candidate will play a key role in managing projects, advising clients, and supporting the continued growth of the planning team.
The Role
You will be responsible for leading and delivering a variety of planning projects from inception through to completion, providing strategic planning advice to an established client base while working closely with colleagues across multiple disciplines.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing a broad portfolio of planning applications and appeals
Preparing planning appraisals, statements, and supporting documentation
Advising clients on planning strategy and development opportunities
Liaising with local authorities, consultants, and stakeholders
Supporting junior team members and contributing to business development activities
Attending client meetings, committee meetings, and public consultations where requiredAbout You
The ideal candidate will have:
MRTPI qualified or working towards chartership
Experience within a consultancy or local authority environment
Strong knowledge of the UK planning system
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Commercial awareness and client-facing experience
The ability to manage projects independently and work collaboratively within a teamWhat's on Offer
