An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Production Technician to join a growing manufacturing business specialising in high-voltage electrical test equipment. This role would suit someone with an electrical engineering or electronics background who enjoys hands-on assembly, wiring and testing work within a technical production environment.
The Role You will be involved in the manufacture, assembly, repair and testing of specialist electrical equipment, working from engineering drawings, technical instructions and production data packs.
Key Responsibilities
Manufacture, assemble and test electrical assemblies and sub-assemblies
Solder electrical control boards and wiring harnesses
Assemble and crimp complex wiring harnesses
Carry out calibration and testing of high-voltage electrical systems
Fault finding and repair of electrical and associated systems
Complete production job cards and quality documentation accurately
Maintain tools, equipment and clean working areas
Work safely and follow company procedures and PPE requirements
Support general workshop and production activities as requiredSkills & Experience Required
NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering or time-served experience
Previous experience within electrical engineering or electronics manufacturing
Experience building wiring harnesses
Confident using hand tools and workshop equipment
Good IT skills including Word and Excel
Experience working on high-voltage systems would be advantageousPersonal Attributes
Keen to learn and develop new skills
Positive and proactive attitude
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Able to multitask and work efficiently
Good forward planning and problem-solving ability
