We are seeking a skilled Assembly & Installation Technician to join our client's team in Chester. Reporting to the Assembly & Installation Manager, you will play a key role in the assembly, calibration and installation of highly specialised products within a quality-driven manufacturing environment.
This opportunity is ideal for candidates with experience in precision assembly or manufacturing who take pride in delivering exceptional standards of workmanship, quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out complex and advanced product assembly in accordance with detailed specifications and work instructions.
* Perform high-precision calibration and adjustment activities using specialist testing equipment, including torque wrenches and digital gauges.
* Conduct pre-use inspections of tools and equipment.
* Monitor equipment and tooling performance, reporting any faults or deviations.
* Complete and maintain accurate assembly, testing and inspection records.
* Record daily production data using computer-based systems.
* Work towards weekly production targets and quality objectives.
* Maintain excellent housekeeping standards in line with 5S principles.
* Adhere to strict safety, quality and security procedures at all times.
* Work within contamination-controlled and radiation-controlled environments.
* Support installation, refurbishment and commissioning activities as required.
* Travel to overseas sites may occasionally be required for training, project work or international assignments.
About You
You will be a reliable, detail-focused individual with a strong commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
Essential Requirements
* Good standard of education, ideally GCSE and/or A-Level qualifications.
* Previous experience within an assembly, production or manufacturing environment.
* Excellent manual dexterity and the ability to follow detailed procedures and work instructions.
* Strong attention to detail with a commitment to achieving zero-defect standards.
* Good problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to work.
* Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
* Flexibility and reliability with a positive, can-do attitude.
* Ability to obtain and maintain DV Security Clearance.
Desirable
* Forklift Truck or Pedestrian Truck Licence.

* Monday - Thursday: 07:00 - 16:00
* Friday: 07:00 - 12:00
Rotating Hours During Installation & Refurbishment Activities
* Monday - Thursday: 07:00 - 16:00 | Friday: 07:00 - 13:00
* Monday - Thursday: 08:30 - 17:30 | Friday: 08:30 - 14:30
