Position Overview:
Our client seeks an Electron Beam Welder (EBW) Technician to join their growing
team, where increasing demand for both products and expertise is driving expansion.
The EBW Technician is responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting
electron beam welding machines used in the fabrication and joining of materials. This
position requires expertise in high-precision welding techniques and working with
advanced technology to ensure the quality and integrity of welded components within a
cleanroom environment. The role requires flexibility and the ability to meet ambitious
and often fluctuating deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:
● Set up, operate, and monitor electron beam welding machines to perform precise
and high-quality welds on various metals and superalloys.
● Inspect and prepare materials for welding, including cleaning and aligning
components.
● Conduct visual and mechanical inspections of welded joints using
non-destructive testing (NDT) methods to ensure they meet specifications.
● Identify and resolve issues with EBW machines, including regular maintenance
and minor repairs to ensure optimal performance.
● Maintain accurate records of welding processes, including materials used,
machine settings, and quality control measures.
● Prepare reports on production progress and weld quality.
● Collaborate closely with engineering and production teams to ensure welding
specifications are met and processes align with broader manufacturing activities.
● Follow all safety procedures and guidelines when working with high-voltage
equipment and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental
regulations.
● Handle acids safely to support the evaluation of weld samples.

Qualifications:
● Excellent working knowledge of cleanroom assembly and integration activities
● Strong understanding of electron beam welding processes
● Proficient in using measuring equipment for quality control
● Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
● Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
