Role: Materials Planner / Customs Coordinator
Location: Fully site based close to Leicester (around 15 mins from J21 M1 – Leicester Forest Junction), this is not a hybrid role
Rate: £25.00/hr Umbrella (Inside IR35) or (£18.00/hr PAYE)
Duration: 12-month contract
A global engineering and manufacturing organisation is looking for a Materials Planner Customs Coordinator to join its facility close to Leicester . This is a busy, hands-on supply chain role supporting the movement of materials and finished products across international borders, ensuring imports and exports run smoothly and compliantly.
You will work in a small, collaborative team where you will quickly become a key point of coordination between logistics, production, and shipping operations.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate import and export shipments into and out of the facility.
Ensure customs documentation and shipping paperwork are accurate and compliant.
Liaise with freight forwarders, carriers, and internal stakeholders.
Track shipments and resolve transport or customs delays.
Support dispatch of finished goods to customers and external destinations.
Assist with logistics improvements and operational projects.
Work closely with the hiring manager and a small logistics team.
Requirements:

Experience with customs procedures or freight/shipping coordination.
Comfortable working in a fast-moving operational environment.
SAP or Power BI experience.
Strong skills in Microsoft Excel
