Our client a leading, secialist engineering company in Sussex. They are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist (Lathe) to join their team in Uckfield.
Key Responsibilities:
Produce components from single pieces to large batches with high precision and accuracy.
Set up and operate CNC lathes and sliding head machines, ordering and preparing appropriate tooling as required.
Conduct first-off and final inspections on your own work and that of other team members.
Perform general machine maintenance and clean, strip down, and tidy machines after use.
Adhere to 5S principles and maintain a clean, safe, and organized workshop.
Create change request forms for any component alterations or additions.
Complete ad-hoc tasks as directed by the line manager.
Take reasonable care of your own health and safety and that of others, in line with company policies.Requirements:

Proven experience setting and operating sliding head and CNC lathes (Fanuc systems).
Ability to read, interpret, and work from technical drawings.
Strong knowledge of dimensional measurement and control.
Familiarity with different raw materials and bar-feeding equipment.
Excellent attention to detail with strong time management skills.
Ability to work effectively independently or within a small team.Benefits:
