We are supporting a major public sector organisation in Sweden in the search for an experienced BI Specialist with a strong background in data management, data warehousing, and business intelligence.
This role focuses heavily on data-driven business development and will involve working across multiple stages of the data life cycle including data collection, metadata management, data quality, analysis preparation, and data delivery.
The successful consultant will play a key role in coordinating and driving initiatives related to data analysis, information management, and data products within a highly regulated environment.
Due to the nature of the client, the assignment may fall under security protection legislation and could require security clearance.
Key Responsibilities- Work hands-on with data-related initiatives across the organisation
- Support data-driven business development activities
- Manage and assess internal and external data sources
- Work with data collection, preparation, transformation, and delivery
- Ensure data quality and consistency across datasets
- Drive activities related to data analysis and data products
- Support metadata management and information governance activities
- Lead efforts around documenting and analysing information structures
- Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders across departments
Mandatory Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience working with data, BI, or data warehouse solutions
- Minimum 5 years of professional SQL development experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience working with data models and information models
Preferred Experience
- Experience with metadata management tools
- Strong background in data modelling and documentation
- Experience working within analytics or BI departments
- Experience working in sensitive or highly regulated data environments
- Previous experience within government/public sector organisations
- Experience handling secure or classified data environments
Ideal Profile
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working in structured and governance-heavy environments
- Excellent stakeholder communication abilities
- Self-driven and organised consultant
- Experience coordinating data-related initiatives across teams
