z/OS with (MQ OR DB2) System Programmer/Senior Programmer/Admin/Senior Consultant/Lead

Skills:

MQ on z/OS System - Programmer/Sr. Consultant/Lead/Admin:

Several years of experience working with z/OS

MQ on z/OS System Programmer skills

Software maintenance and installation using SMP/e

Knowledge in encryption security with certificate PKI and ciphers.

Senior level expertise in MQ on z/OS.

Responsibility:

You will be part of the Mainframe team which is active in a wide area and where a great interest and commitment is required to provide support to the internal and external customers.

The role involves varying tasks where you get to be involved from the birth of an idea until it is implemented.

The mission is to manage the infrastructure but at the same time work for modernization, which means great opportunities to be involved and create change along the way.

Maintenance and recurring upgrades (RSU and version upgrades)

Business and customer requests through shared mailbox or Service Requests.

Renew or update internal and external certificates.

DB2 (z/OS Mainframe) - System Programmer/Admin:

Strong hands-on experience with Db2 for z/OS as a system programmer and administrator, including performance monitoring and optimisation.

Good working knowledge of SMP/E, with experience supporting Db2 installation, maintenance, and version upgrades.

Experience managing, maintaining, and upgrading Db2-related third-party (ISV) software products.

Has experience communicating and translating complex technical concepts for Senior Leadership.

Has a proven track record of leading resolution and troubleshooting of critical on-line systems.

Is structured and proactive, with the ability to take full ownership of a technology domain.

Is comfortable working in 24/7, high-availability environments.

Responsibility:

You will be part of a skilled Mainframe team and serve as the primary DB2 on z/OS expert, responsible for the stability, availability, and strategic evolution of the DB2 platform. The role combines deep technical system programming with roadmap ownership and close collaboration with stakeholders across IT and the business.

Own and drive the Mainframe DB2 Technology roadmap and work closely with stakeholders to deliver against it.

Plan and execute running maintenance and major DB2 version upgrades.

Implement standardisation and drive improvement initiatives within the team.

Work collaboratively across the Infrastructure team to develop, promote, and implement process initiatives

Ensure governance and procedures are adhered to in terms of security and future-proofing of the DB2 installation.
