Pay: £92.63 – £106.52 per day (depending on experience)

A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Shepherd’s Bush is seeking a dedicated Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026. This full-time role will involve supporting pupils across the school with a range of additional needs, including Autism, social and emotional needs, and challenging behaviour.

The school is looking for a calm, proactive, and adaptable individual who is passionate about supporting children and helping them access learning in a positive and structured environment. Trial days and interviews will be taking place after the half term break.

The Role:

* Supporting pupils with SEN on a 1:1 and small group basis across the school

* Working with children with Autism, SEMH needs, and behavioural challenges

* Helping pupils regulate emotions and engage positively with learning

* Supporting classroom routines, transitions, and social development

* Working closely with teachers, the SENCo, and pastoral staff to implement strategies

* Providing support both inside and outside of the classroom where required

The Ideal Candidate:

* Experience supporting children with SEN or behavioural needs

* A calm, resilient, and patient approach

* Confident managing challenging behaviour positively and consistently

* Strong communication and teamwork skills

* Passionate about supporting children’s emotional and academic development

* A background in psychology, youth work, sports coaching, care, or mentoring is desirable
