We are seeking an experienced and motivated SEN/Education Lawyer to join our team on a full-time basis for an initial 3-month contract.
Role Details
Position: SEN/Education Lawyer
Contract Length: Initial 3 months
Hours: 37 hours per week across 5 days
Working Pattern: Full time

Key Responsibilities
Managing a caseload of Special Educational Needs (SEN) and education law matters
Providing legal advice and representation on SEN Tribunal cases
Advising on education legislation, policies, and statutory duties
Drafting legal documents, correspondence, and reports
Supporting clients and stakeholders with clear and practical legal guidance
Attending hearings, meetings, and negotiations where required
Requirements
Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Legal Executive with relevant practising experience
Strong knowledge of SEN and education law
Experience handling SEND Tribunal matters
Excellent communication and case management skills
Ability to work independently and manage deadlines effectively
Desirable
Previous local authority or public sector experience
Advocacy experience in SEND proceedings
