Conrad Consulting is delighted to be working with a leading multi-disciplinary property and construction consultancy to recruit an experienced Chartered Building Surveyor for their growing Cambridge office.

This is an excellent opportunity for an MRICS-qualified Building Surveyor to join a highly respected consultancy with a strong reputation across the built environment sector. The successful candidate will become part of an established team delivering a broad range of professional and project-led Building Surveying services to clients across education, commercial, industrial, retail, and residential sectors.

The role offers exposure to a varied workload including contract administration, defect diagnosis, dilapidations, technical due diligence, schedules of condition, reinstatement cost assessments, and pre-acquisition surveys.

You will play a key role in delivering high-quality surveying services, managing client relationships, and contributing to the continued success and growth of the team.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver a full range of professional Building Surveying services across multiple sectors

Undertake defect analysis, technical inspections, and prepare detailed reports and specifications

Administer construction contracts and manage project delivery through to completion

Carry out schedules of condition, dilapidations, and technical due diligence surveys

Build and maintain strong client relationships through excellent service delivery

Coordinate multi-disciplinary project teams and act as lead consultant where required

Support and mentor junior team members

Attend networking events and contribute to business development activities

Requirements

Chartered Member of the RICS (MRICS or FRICS)

Proven experience within a Building Surveying role, ideally within consultancy

Strong technical knowledge across building pathology, construction technology, and contract administration

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise workload effectively

Commercial awareness and strong attention to detail

Proficient in AutoCAD, NBS, Microsoft Office, and related software

Full UK driving licence
